The Glen Ridge Public Library assembled a special committee in Fall 2024, taking advantage of the “back to school” operational window to gather input to build a new strategic plan. With members across the library director, staff, community patrons and board members, this allowed the committee to review the feedback, evaluate and present highlights to the Borough and Glen Ridge Public Schools, and reach approval with the Board of Trustees by the end of 2025 to have the plan set the groundwork through 2030. The committee created five public goals and strategies; these will be supported by internal action steps to be managed by the director and staff for prioritization based on resource and calendar availability. Recognizing that we operate in an ever-evolving world, we acknowledge that this strategic plan may need to allow for adjustments should any adaptations be needed.
