      K-Gr 2-An introduction to some of the great architectural structures of the world. Each book has a mix of visuals-clear and attractive photographs and engaging reproductions-accompanied by short and somewhat dry expository sentences. A map of the region is included, and the country where the structure is located is highlighted. The entries explore when, why, and by whom the structure was built, and its status today. The Spanish translation isn't perfect, but it is mostly correct. VERDICT An easy introductory series for young readers interested in the world beyond our borders.
