#LOOK • A FASHION FOCUS

FINISHING TOUCHES • Arm yourself with the season’s wear-on-repeat accessories and you’re good to go.

MAXIMUM EXPOSURE • From barely-there dresses to sheer coats and blouses that leave nothing to the imagination, it’s all about what lies beneath this new season.

TEAL ME MORE • Want to inject some colour into your wardrobe? Meet blue’s cool, younger sister.

EXTRA, EXTRA • Newsflash: it’s time to pile up your textures. Minimalists need not apply.

WHAT’S ON OUR FASHION RADAR? • While you were away: Prada is throwing it back to the ’90s while athleisure reinvents itself in the form of cycling gear. And, yep, we’re still into dad sneakers – and so is Kylie.

THE LIBERATING POWER OF FASHION • With the fashion industry’s latest embrace of gender fluidity (thanks to individuals like FAKA, Rich Mnisi and Orange Culture), plus an increased interest in African consciousness and nationalism, fashion is being used to further accelerate a broader conversation on freedom. We spoke to Sarah Nakintu, the Ugandan-born designer of Kintu New York, about freedom and fashion.

OUT OF AFRICA • As our continent shifts the African fashion industry forward, we highlight and appreciate some of the pioneers leading the way and putting African fashion on the map.

DESIGNER FOCUS • Meet Lebogang Mokgoko, the Pretoria-based photographer turned designer and creative director of his own brand Not Good Enough, a design and consulting company that specialises in contemporary apparel and home designs. Here, he talks the future of African fashion and his passion for the industry.

CONCEAL REVEAL • Modesty gets an ultra-creative spin through lightweight fabrics and chic pairings in a display of earthy tones and hues.

PAN-AFRICAN FASHION featuring Lisa Folawiyo • With an exhibition at the Fashion Institute of Technology, a nod from Vogue Japan and a spot on Business of Fashion’s BoF 500 list, Nigerian designer Lisa Folawiyo, 42, is shaping the world of fashion and thrusting the continent into the global spotlight.

#WEARSA • Every year, Wear SA showcases the best in new designers. Meet the three talents who are reflecting a whole new set of values for the SA clothing and textile sector.

#FEEL • BEAUTY, INSIDE & OUT

FOUND OBJECTS • Track down every missing hair pin, rogue elastic, even random ribbon to make your hair look on trend.

SHOP FRONT • Not keen to DIY? These hair add-ons give you that catwalk-ready look in a flash.

THIS MONTH ON GLAMOUR.CO.ZA • For more fresh, new content, visit our website for your daily fashion and beauty fix, the latest trends and topical women’s issues.

WHAT’S ON OUR BEAUTY RADAR? • Summer spells fun with a capital F. What better way to show off this spirit than with artistic hair partings and the hottest new shades of neon on eyes, lips, nails and locks.

FRESH INK • Take a risk and draw outside the lines with the most-coveted eye trend.

What before-and-after pictures don’t tell you • Side-by-side images of weight loss are addictive to scroll through. But let the women in them tell you what you can’t see.

EXPRESS YOURSELF • In a world where we’re yearning for a voice, our lips take on more significance. How to make a statement without saying a word? Lip art is your new go-to.

Is disconnecting from social media the key to happiness? • If the nonstop barrage of do-it-for-the-gram selfies, feuds and internet trolls is getting in the way of your life, then it might be time for a social media...
