GARY BIGENI ON HEALTH AND HAPPINESS • In 2017, Australian fashion designer Gary Bigeni was diagnosed with an aggressive form of Non-Hodgkin lymphoma. While his body underwent the tumult of treatment, his mind focused on a new approach to life, leading him to become a youth worker and to start creating fashion for everybody.

BREAK LOOSE • It’s time to make room – in ample volume, the baggy jean asserted itself as the style of this season. Able to skew both 1990s grungy or polished minimalist, it taps denim’s original aloof cool, with the advantage of being comfortable.

SOLID GROUND • The best shoes of this season riff on the classics – from pumps to loafers. Whether you prefer vertiginous or flat-out comfort, choose the height that’s right in your comfort zone and step out.

FIT TO BE TIED • Despite its seemingly constrained proportions, the modern corset is less about restriction than accentuation and aesthetics. From bralettes and cropped versions layered over relaxed silhouettes, to Tom Ford’s in-built jersey option, it flatters the waist, offsetting the body’s natural curves.
